Membership

Membership cards: Membership is subject to any and all rules adopted by SAM'S CLUB, and these rules may be amended from time to time without notice to or consent by the Member. Membership Cards are non-transferable. Memberships may be terminated at SAM'S CLUB discretion. Your Membership card is valid at all SAM'S CLUB locations. Please show your card when entering a SAM'S CLUB and when checking out at a register. Report a lost or stolen card to your local SAM'S CLUB Membership Desk. SAM'S CLUB Membership cards are only to be used by the individuals to whom they are issued.

Additional Cardholders: A Primary Membership includes a complimentary card that is available to a spouse or any household member over the age of 18. The Primary cardholder may add up to eight additional cardholders to their Membership for an additional fee of $15.00 each. Each additional $15.00 Membership will come with one card for a spouse or other member of the household over the age of 18 for an additional $10.00. All additional cardholders are due to renew at the same time as the Primary cardholder.

Renewing & Transferring Membership

Membership Renewal: The Primary Member is responsible for the account and must authorize renewal or cardholder changes, including additions and deletions. The Primary Member will receive a renewal notice by mail each year. Renewal fees can be paid at your local Club or by mail. Members approved for SAM'S CLUB Credit will automatically be billed to their account for their renewal. Renewal of Membership must be completed for all cardholders at the same time. New card(s) will not be issued at renewal.

Payment

Shopping at your local SAM'S CLUB

When shopping at your local SAM'S CLUB, purchases must be paid for with SAM'S CLUB Credit, cash, authorized check, or Discover Card. All checks must be issued on a Member's or agent's checking account, with the name of the Member or agent preprinted on the check. Any exceptions to check cashing rules must be pre-approved in writing by the Warehouse Manager.

There is a service charge for insufficient funds (NSF) check returns. Members issuing fraudulent checks are subject to Membership revocation and prosecution. Title to all merchandise passes to the Member at the time of payment. Thereafter the Member bears the risk of loss for such merchandise except for willful or negligent acts of SAM'S CLUB or its associates.

The Primary Member will not be held responsible for additional cardholder transactions.

Use Of Resale Or Transaction Of Privilege Tax License

It is the Member's responsibility to declare, at the point of sale, merchandise that is being purchased for resale or otherwise tax exempt. The member must identify such items to the cashier in the local SAM'S CLUB location.

The Member agrees that in the failure to pay such tax, Member will hold SAM'S CLUB harmless from and indemnify Member against any claim loss or expense occasioned by such nonpayment, and that their Membership in SAM'S CLUB will be subject to immediate forfeiture.
